NAU Buyer Protection
Last updated: July 2026
Every purchase on NAU Kart Components is protected by one simple rule: the seller doesn't get your money until you get your item.
How it works
- You pay through the site by card, Apple Pay or Google Pay. Your payment is held securely — it is not passed to the seller.
- The seller posts your item (or you arrange collection).
- The money is released only when: you confirm receipt, or you enter your collection code at handover, or 7 days pass after dispatch without a problem being reported.
If something goes wrong
Item hasn't arrived? Not as described? Damaged? Open a report from your purchases page before the release date. That immediately freezes the payment. The seller has 48 hours to put it right; if they don't, our team reviews the evidence and can refund you in full — the money never left the platform, so refunds are fast.
Collection purchases
Buying a kart or trailer in person? You inspect it at handover and only share your collection codewhen you're happy — the code is what releases the seller's payment. Never share it before you've seen the item.
Your rights by seller type
- Trade sellers (marked with a badge): you have full statutory consumer rights, including a 14-day cancellation period after delivery under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, and remedies under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.
- Private sellers: statutory cancellation rights don't apply to private sales, but the item must match its description — and our payment hold and dispute process protect you either way.
The golden rules
- Never pay outside the site. Bank transfers, cash deposits or "PayPal friends & family" have zero protection — any seller asking for them is breaking our rules. Report them.
- Keep all communication in NAU messages — it's your evidence if there's a dispute.
- Don't confirm receipt (or hand over a collection code) until you've checked the item.
